Macros are placeholders in curly braces that ArcTrack replaces with real values. They work in offer destination URLs, fallback URLs and transparent url= values (click macros), and in partner postback URLs and bodies (click and conversion macros). Unknown macros are left untouched, and names are case-insensitive.

Encoding#

  • In URLs values are percent-encoded, so a sub-ID containing & cannot break the URL.
  • In POST bodies values are JSON-escaped when the body starts with {, otherwise form-encoded.

Example#

Destination URL:

URL
https://shop.example.com/?clickid={click_id}&src={source_id}&c={country}

After a click from Germany with source_id=blog-7:

URL
https://shop.example.com/?clickid=01928f7c3a2b4e5d6f708192a3b4c5d6&src=blog-7&c=DE
